OTHER MAT STYLES: Samples in our yard are Swamp, Rubber, Bamboo. We will build any mat size to fit your needs.

WOOD USED:SPF is the most common (Spruce, Pine, and Douglas fir)Hemlock and Douglas fir are occasionally used
Pressure Treated SPF is available (common in the USA)

ABOUT THE WOOD:
A) Moisture Content- The lower the better, as shrinkage in the field will be minimal
B) Strength- In order of weakest to strongest-pine, spruce, fir, hemlock
C) Grade- Typical is #2/Btr
D) Caution- Stay away from using “green”, “mill run” wood

Key Design Features of Tracker Rig Mats

1. Lifting Shackles are rated at 8.5 tons vs. the standard of 6.5 tons.
2. An “extra” intermediate cross member is standard on all 3 beam mats.
3. “Extra” cross members are placed at each end of the mat.
this means each mat has (3) extra cross members <>
4. Lifting Shackles and Pipe Ends are STANDARD on all mats, not optional extras.
5. ALL cross members are full 6” I-Beam, not just ¼ “flat plate or angle iron.
6.6x6 or 4x6 timber blocks are used throughout, not 2x6 standard lumber.
7. All timber blocks are routered on the ends to fit under the I-beam, for a flush top deck.
8. Side lifetime eyes welded above and below for extra strength.
9. Low moisture content timber blocks are used to minimize wood shrinkage.
10. Normal moisture content runs from 25%-30%, however some can and will be as low as 19%.
11. No.2 or better SPF or Hemlock is used depending on availability.
12. Mats are built locally and assembled correctly with more time, care and attention.
13. Our mats contain absolutely no Aspen or Cotton Wood.
